Judo enters school. And conquers the children of the IC “Badaloni”

RECANATI – Saturday 14 May more than 70 children from IC Badaloni, accompanied by their families, invaded the garden and gymnasium of the Le Grazie Primary School to participate in the event dedicated to Judo, at the end of the “A tutto Sport & Inclusione” project .

Starting from March, Francesca Camilletti, graduate in Motor Sciences and 2nd DAN black belt, held some lessons in the primary school of IC Badaloni during the hour of physical education, proposing preparatory activities for judo. Camilletti was formed in the now historic Kodokan Judo Recanati sports association, under the supervision of maestro Mario Mengascini.

This splendid martial art, which the Badaloni children had the opportunity to approach, contributes in parallel to the physical development and maturation of the personality through the transmission of values such as respect, courage and perseverance, just to name a few.

The ASD Kodokan of maestro Mengascini started a collaboration with Badaloni already at the beginning of the school year. In fact, thanks to the project carried out within the framework of community pacts, a group of 20 children from the institute were able to practice judo for free for one year at the Kodokan gym, participating in various sporting events organized by the FIJLKAM federation (Italian Judo Federation Fight Karate Martial Arts), in which the little judoki have achieved excellent placings. A second exam is planned for them shortly for the transition to the orange belt.

The afternoon ended with the delivery of diplomas, which was attended by Maestro Mengascini, as president of the association, the instructor Francesca Camilletti, the Headmaster Annamaria De Siena and the contact person for sport of the Primary School Cristina Capellino.

The Badaloni, believing in the importance of physical activity, will participate next year in the project “Racquets in the classroom” promoted by the Ministry of Education, the FIT and the Sport & Health office. As foreseen by the project, the institute was “adopted” by the Guzzini Tennis Club, with which it began to collaborate this school year.

A heartfelt thanks from IC Badaloni to the sports clubs that have collaborated in recent months for the realization of the A tutto Sport & Inclusione project, offering children unforgettable motor and human experiences.
