Aggregation and inclusiveness are the strengths of the Judo Imola sports association, founded in 1970 and a pioneer in offering girls and boys with disabilities the opportunity to express themselves on the mat.

Thanks to the advanced courses organized by the Italian Federation of Paralympic Sports of Relational Intellectuals (Fisdir), the Judo Imola association now has two technicians capable of guiding and following its autistic and blind athletes in the approach and contact phases in combat. The two trainers who have specialized are Giovanni Compatangelo and Marinella Boschi.

“Inclusiveness is a value on which we have always founded our business – explains Vito Ponzi, president of the sports association -, and the fact that we have behind us a reality like the Bcc of Western Romagna is of great help, because it is a bank capable of making its presence felt in the area, helping people and grasping their problems. Theirs is really an important support for an association like ours, of volunteers who are committed to giving everyone an opportunity in sport “.

The amateur sports association (Asd) Judo Imola is Coni’s silver and bronze star for sporting merit; the headquarters are in via Kolbe, at the Bartolini gymnasium. From 1970 to today the association has formed the beauty of 44 black belts, 22 federal technicians (Fijlkam-Judo), a federal technician Fijlkam-Lotta, a federal technician Fijlkam-Sumo, 4 Uisp technicians in the Judo sector, two Fijlkam match officials; six athletes called to the national team, over 200 registered athletes.

In addition to the Stella del Coni, she was awarded the Silver Medal for Sports Merit by the Municipality of Imola. It offers four types of courses: children, teens, global and competitive. You have won numerous medals at the Italian championships, overall, in the Italian Cup and at the European Cup.
