For the 4th time in its history, the Florida franchise will have the first choice in the June 23 Draft.
The Orlando Magic was spoiled by the traditional Draft lottery on Tuesday, since it was chosen to choose first among the best young players of the 2022 vintage, during the ceremony scheduled for June 23.
After the Florida team, which finished the regular season in last place in the Eastern Conference, it will be the turn of the Oklahoma City Thunder to make its choice, then the Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings.
From «prospects»the university hopes that should be snatched by these franchises, include three interiors, Jabari Smith (Auburn), Chet Holmgren (Gonzaga) and Paolo Banchero (Duke) or Jaden Ivey (Purdue).
This is the 4th time that Orlando will have the first choice. They had made Shaquille O’Neal and Chris Webber the N.1 of the 1992 and 1993 Draft, and in 2004 they had selected Dwight Howard in the same position.
