It took wine to finally lure Ronaldinho to Belgium

The 2005 Ballon d’Or was in Mons on Saturday, with his friends Julio César, Amauri and Sébastien Frey.

Belgium has finally met one of its executioners from the 2002 World Cup. Ronaldinho Gaucho, a true legend of football, set foot on Belgian soil for the first time this weekend. The 2005 Golden Ball and world champion came… to Mons on Saturday. But not for football.

After traveling nearly 7,000 kilometers from Dubai, the Brazilian came to present his wines and prosecco, included in the range The Wine of the Champion s. These wines are labeled in tribute to several former glories (including Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos or Wesley Sneijder…) in an establishment of the Italian businessman and oenologist Fabio Cordella in the Salento region, in Puglia, Italy.
