Lewis Hamilton is trying to approach the whole situation at Mercedes in a positive way. The British star knows what it’s like to win, but is currently on the other side of the coin. However, Hamilton thinks that the difficult situation at Mercedes makes the team stronger and ultimately contributes to a stronger comeback.

It takes some getting used to for Hamilton and Mercedes. In the hybrid era, the German team had the best equipment for eight seasons in a row, evidenced by eight world constructors’ titles. However, with the introduction of the new era from this season, the flag is suddenly a lot different for Toto Wolff’s team. The Silver Arrows run into many problems, do not yet have the speed to compete for victories and an eighth world title can be written on his stomach by Hamilton for the time being.

No other persons for inspiration

According to Hamilton, this season is currently one of the toughest periods of his career. The Brit mainly focuses on herself and tries not to look too much to others for inspiration. “I wouldn’t say that there is an individual I focus on. I look around and try to ignore all the negative. Besides, I don’t watch the news very often, but of course there are a lot of inspiring people. It’s important to show that you’re not giving up.”

Support each other

The seven-time world champion has the necessary words of praise for his team. “I love working with this team. It’s a privilege to work with so many people towards a common goal. Everyone helps each other. It’s unbelievable how they support each other in difficult times. Some bad races are not going to stop us. This is what unites us. This is where we learn more about ourselves as individuals. This is where we are and where we grow the most. Ultimately, this makes the success, which will no doubt come again, even sweeter.”
