Preparations for the announcement of the most important tennis tournament of the year in Mexico are advancing rapidly. The WTA 1000 that will take place in Guadalajara already has a name, which confirms both its presentation and its completion next October.
The GDL Open Akron WTA 1000 will be officially announced on Monday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. local time. A press conference will be held led by Gustavo Santoscoy, director of the WTA Guadalajara, and Steve Simon, CEO of the WTA.
