Girona wins the first tachycardic derby in the OKLliga on penalties

Today’s match at the Palau 2 Pavilion, the first of three possible encounters between Girona and Palafrugell in the play-out to stay in the OKLliga next season, is not suitable for the heart. The Girona derby was not decided until the last moment, in the penalty shootout, after a goalless draw forced by Raul Pelicano, to equalize the score (1-1), from a direct free kick, when there was little more than a minute and a half to close regulation time.
The score was started earlier by Palafrugell in the first half, by Ceschin, “Caco”. The penalty shootout was the decisive moment of the match, with a final score of 3-2 and a last stop by Jaume Llaverola in the fifth shot by Romà that gave the victory to Girona.
