Does frustration about the missed mega change lead to aggressiveness on the transfer market?

Real Madrid are struggling with the disappointment surrounding the cancellation of Kylian Mbappé (23), who preferred to extend at PSG instead of coming to Los Blancos. The Madrilenians are shocked, but according to the Spanish media, they are already working on new plans.

The name Serge Gnabry (26) should also play a role…

The Bayern star’s contract ends in 2023 and is to be extended. The German national player has had a very good offer for a long time, which should secure him an income of between 17 and 19 million euros in the event of a contract extension beyond 2023. This offer is the pain threshold, Bavaria does not want to increase it at the moment.

Gnabry is said to be disappointed that his negotiations before this lucrative offer have dragged on for so long. The contracts of his buddies Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka were previously extended, as was that of his competitor Kingsley Coman. Gnabry feels set back. He hasn’t turned down Bayern’s offer yet. He’s in no hurry to sign it either. Time plays for him. After the new season he would be free of charge and could collect a so-called “signing fee” at another club in addition to a top salary.

That’s what David Alaba (29) did last summer, who is now supposed to make a move to his Real Madrid club palatable to Gnabry. Alaba is said to have rejected an offer of 19.5 million euros at Bayern. He now earns 19.47 million euros at Real Madrid – but received an additional 17.7 million euros for his signature.

Bayern’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic said after Bayern’s 2-2 win against Stuttgart on the penultimate matchday on Sky about Gnabry poker: “We have limits. We try to offer the best for every player. And that’s why it’s up to him to decide. The boy is great. I like him very much and would love to keep him here.”

It’s possible that Real Madrid will interfere with Bayern…
