Exploit of Veronese Badminton in Brescia

The 2022 Italian Badminton Masters Championships took place in Brescia, on the weekend of last April 30th, with the participation of athletes from all over the peninsula, in categories ranging from 35 years of age and up. The Veronese expedition was made up of 3 athletes from the Badminton Club Verona (Gabriel Dascalescu, Alessandro Recchia and Federica Zanotto) and 1 from the Badminton Caselle Team (Nicola Rotta).

Our flag bearers have ventured into all disciplines of badminton, namely singles, doubles and mixed doubles, even paired with athletes from other clubs.

The famous saying “few but good” fits perfectly on this occasion: 4 athletes = 9 podiums and relative medals.

Dascalescu Gabriel: silver in the singles and bronze in the men’s double master ’45 (paired with Recchia).

Recchia Alessandro: silver in the mixed doubles (paired with (Zanotto), bronze in the men’s doubles (paired with Dascalescu) and in the singular master ’45.

Zanotto Federica: Gold in the singles and silver in the women’s double master ’50, silver in the mixed double master ’45 (paired with Recchia).

Nicola route: gold in the men’s double master ’60 (paired with the Lazio Lupi).

So, an appointment for next year; but in the meantime other tournaments will bring the athletes of the two Veronese clubs, points of reference for those wishing to learn about badminton in our provinceto travel to the peninsula in search of new confirmations, successes or simply pleasant and hard-fought matches in this wonderful sport.
