Da Some fans looked in the tube: The live stream from RTL + for the expected final in the Europa League between Eintracht Frankfurt and Glasgow Rangers had initial difficulties. Some viewers were only shown an error message instead of a European Cup show.
“Thank you for paying and the stream in the LTE network just crashes with an unhelpful error message!” wrote a viewer on Twitter. A Bild showed the “unexpected error message”.
Many other users reported similar problems on Twitter.
The stream from RTL and the television broadcasts ran smoothly. Only the live stream from RTL +, for which a subscription is required, is not.
The broadcaster responded to the problem reports from the viewers. “Dear football fans, we know about the technical problem of the stream on some end devices. We are working flat out on a solution.”
The broadcaster recommended that the angry users use the TV live stream in the RTL + app. After a good half hour of the first half, RTL+ reported that the problem had been fixed. “The streams should now be running again,” it said on Twitter. RTL commentator Marco Hagemann also apologized to viewers during the TV broadcast for the temporary asynchronicity of image and sound.
