ROVIGO – A weekend to recharge the batteries in view of the most delicate phase of the season. Neither of the two senior teams of the Baseball Softball Club Rovigo between tomorrow and Sunday will go down on the diamond.
Itas Mutua Rovigo will serve the scheduled rest round at the end of the first qualifying phase of the Serie A baseball. After the closing of Group B in third place, behind the much better equipped Fortitudo Bologna and Collecchio, the rossoblù are organizing themselves to better face the new group that will be giving away, first and foremost, the permanence in the category and which will begin the last weekend of May.
The Serie A2 softball girls are also at rest. The match scheduled for Sunday in Rovigo against the New Panthers Lucca has been postponed to a later date. Even for the “Girls”, therefore, the march in the league will resume in a week to try to consolidate and if possible improve a ranking that currently sees them in fourth place in Group B.
And so the only ones to go down on the diamond this weekend will be the Cadets of the C Series of baseball. Colorno will arrive on Sunday in via Vittorio Veneto, a tough opponent like all those in the Emilia group so far faced by the Polesani. Rovigo arrives at the challenge with high morale after the great success achieved last weekend against Carpi and aims for a new positive test that will further grow the young roster.
