The Greek is looking for his first success at the Foro Italico against the number 1 in the world who has just celebrated his 1000th career victory
The last time against Nole had been painful for Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek had 2 sets to 0 against Novak Djokovic in last year’s Roland Garros final. Then, the number 1 launched towards the conquest of the Grand Slam (later failed, but that’s another story) had furiously recovered, lifting the Parisian torfeo for the second time in his career. A year or so later, the two face off again, with the Greek looking for his first win at the Foro Italico and Nole aiming for the 38th Masters 1000, overtaking Nadal.
