DIM tied in their last Copa Sudamericana match

There was no important news in the Hernán Ramírez Villegas. The one qualified for the round of 16 of the South American Cup by Group E ended up being International with the 5-1 victory in Porto Alegre.

Comesaña chose to keep his stellar team competitive, taking into account that his clash with Tolima is scheduled for June 1. Only Luciano Pons and Javier Méndez did not travel to Pereira, and Felipe Pardo and Diber Cambindo became the novelties in a match that represented little for the locals.

Playing without pressure was good for the Powerful. It was easy for him to dominate the first half against a very weak version of the Celestes, who were far from that combative team and effective 3-3 in Defensores del Chaco when Group E took off.

Changing opened the scoring

The visitor’s disconnection was overwhelming. He did not progress in those 45 minutes and allowed the DIM, well led by Andrés Ricaurteadd options and get his header with Diber Cambindo at 26 ‘after a great cross from Felipe Pardo.

Pardo himself had the second a few minutes later. He was not given. Nor to Andrés Cadavid, who crashed the ball into the post.

Already the second stage was the waste festival for the reds. Between Pardo and Cambindo they got the clearest before the first ten minutes of the restart. Two other postazos, this time from 9, brought emotion, and even Cadavid had his chance, but he did not define.

Diego Godoy and Mario Otazú were islands until Guaireña evoked the script that allowed him to reach the last date with real options to qualify. The entry of Carlos Duarte was decisive. In an error by Jean Pineda, he gave the locals the first scare with a disallowed goal. Later, on a good serve by goalkeeper Rubén Escobar and purely direct play, Duarte equalized the match at 59′ to punish the local’s lack of definition.

Ricaurte and the fifth postazo of the DIM

The Antioquia squad soon processed their slip and had to win it with Juan David Mosquera. The goalkeeper saved. Then it was Ricarte who crashed a fourth ball into the post, when the game was no longer so favorable because the rival decided to compete.

The game fell into a rut and the concern for Medellín came with Adrián Arregui, replaced by an annoyance. Juan Carlos Díaz and Vladimir Hernández appeared for the auction of the commitment. For the visit, Milton Maciel tried, but he could not repeat what he did in the agonizing victory in Ecuador.

In substitution time, again with Ricaurte, came the fifth post for the red squad. In the end, the two teams that competed in Pereira ended up eliminated. Inter qualified with 12 points, Guaireña finished second with 10, followed by DIM with fivewhile 9 de Octubre finished as colero with 4 units.
