Jakarta

The U-23 Indonesian national team only has 14 players against Malaysia in the 2021 SEA Games bronze medal match. Garuda Muda installed the Witan-Ronaldo-Jauhari trio.

The SEA Games bronze medal match between Indonesia and Malaysia will take place at My Dinh Stadium, Sunday (22/5/2022). Kick off of this match will take place at 16.00 WIB.

There was a change in the composition of the U-23 national team because several players were absent. Asnawi Mangkualam is back as a starter to fill the right-back position.

Apart from Asnawi, the rest had no significant changes. The central defender duo, Fachruddin Aryanto and Rizki Ridho, are still a duo. The position of left back is still occupied by Alfeandra Dewangga.

Meanwhile, the absent position of Ricky Kambuaya has now been taken over by Saddil Ramdani. The Sabah FC player was accompanied by Marc Klok and Marselino Ferdinand.

Finally in the front line position there was also a change due to the absence of the injured Egy Maulana Vikri. Witan Sulaeman will work hand in hand with Ronaldo Kwateh and Irfan Jauhari.

Surprisingly, there are only three reserve players in the Indonesian camp, namely Adi Satrio, Rio Fahmi, and Muhammad Ridwan. This condition makes the U-23 national team only has 14 players.

There is no name Syahrian Abhimanyu in the starter or reserve line-up. The reason for the absence of the Persija Jakarta player is not yet known.

As is known, Egy is injured. Meanwhile, three players, namely Firza Andika, Rachmat Irianto, and Ricky Kambuaya, were banned from appearing because they were shown a red card in the semifinal against Thailand.
