Club Algazara launches its women’s section in Alhaurín de la Torre

SOUTH. Women’s basketball continues to grow with more and more teams in the province. In this case, it is the Algazara Club of Alhaurín de la Torre that has launched its women’s section. For now, the Malaga entity will have premini, minibasket and baby teams that will be led by a group of top-level coaches. The objective of the club is to promote equality between boys and girls «which is why we joined the ‘Nosotras’ campaign of the Andalusian Basketball Federation, which is aimed at promoting women in sport and, ultimately, in favor of definitive equality between women and men. We believe that sport in girls is essential to unite ties, avoid a sedentary lifestyle and improve access to the future world », as she explains in a statement.
