Chemistry vs. Lok Leipzig: riots at the city derby in Leipzig | Sports

Leipzig has a new derby winner! Chemie gets back the success after the 0:1 in the first leg with a 2:1 against FC Lok – after riots and a minute-long interruption that had caused Pyro chaos.

For a long time it looked like a friendship kick, the respect for each other was clearly noticeable in both teams in front of 4999 fans. A conclusion after ten minutes. Bellot has no problems with the shot from Pfeffer, the Derby hero from the first leg (10′).

On the other hand, it is Mauer who finds his master in keeper Sievers (16th). Biggest chance, however: Ziane fails with a header at Bellot, who still fingers the thing over the crossbar (21st). The Lok striker had never scored against chemistry.

But then he does. After a Brügmann corner, he slams the ball into his own net while attempting to save (38′). He complains about a push from Horschig, but the hit counts.

Chemistry celebrates and a rocket rushes out of the locomotive block into the Leutzscher block below the grandstand.

Then it also goes off on the left side of the Leutzscher Norddamm. Green-White supporters engage in a skirmish with the police. She uses pepper spray and gets various thrown objects peppered back.

Luckily there is a break shortly afterwards. Then it bangs again. Thick smoke billows from the locomotive block. Shortly thereafter, pyrotechnics are fired. Referee Philipp Vierock interrupts the game (50th).

► A BSG fan collapsed in an argument in the stadium. He required medical treatment and was taken to the hospital. The police are investigating.

After a 17 minute break we continued. And from then on it only banged on the lawn. Heynke scored the equalizer after 63 minutes with a header and a Bellot defense that was too short. Then Kirstein brings Chemie back into the lead after a corner (74′). That’s enough to bring the derby victory back to Leutzsch.

Fans wall tunnel to the stadium

Even before the game, there were teasing from the fans: the tunnel of the Leutzsch railway underpass was apparently bricked up by supporters of the BSG Chemie during the night, so that Lok’s fan march could not get through!

But the police arrived in the morning with a wheelbarrow and a hammer and removed the aerated concrete blocks. About 500 fans of the blue and yellow were then able to pull through the so-called “mousetrap” as planned.
