Bibliometrics is a discipline that introduces mathematical and statistical methods to quantify scientific research papers. It can more scientifically, effectively and clearly present the information that readers and researchers need. At the same time, the rapid development of badminton scientific research also needs the support of bibliometrics. Therefore, in order to understand the research status of badminton sports scientific research, discover the research laws in this scientific research field, and give conclusions and suggestions, this paper is based on the G8 (sports category) in the “Chinese Core Journals Overview” from 2009 to 2018. All the literatures related to badminton sports research in the core journals are the research objects, using literature data, mathematical statistics, logical analysis, bibliometrics and other methods to carry out statistical analysis of the relevant literature, the distribution of authors, and the citations. It aims to provide a theoretical reference for the development of later literature research in this field. The conclusions are as follows: 1. The amount of relevant research results is small, and every 4 years is a cycle, showing a wave-like trend. The quantitative distribution of research results in various journals and the distribution of different regions are significantly unbalanced, forming Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai and other regions as the main agglomeration of research results in this field. 2. The distribution of dissertation funds is mainly at the national and provincial levels. At the same time, there are many fund documents absorbed by China Sports Science and Technology, Beijing Sports Journal, Astronomical Journal, and Military Sports Journal. In terms of the time lag of publication, the dissemination speed of literature information is relatively fast and the timeliness is better. However, factors such as the review process of individual journals and the theme of editing and editing lead to a long time lag and a slow publication rate. current situation. 3. The research topic is too concentrated and the content is not extensive enough, which mainly shows that the research scale of applied disciplines is the largest, and the research of basic disciplines and other related aspects is less. At the same time, the use of research methods is too single. 4. In the gender structure of authors in this research field, the proportion of males and females is unevenly distributed, the age structure of authors is reasonably distributed, and the overall distribution is “small on both sides and large in the middle”. The distribution of professional titles and educational backgrounds is not proportional to the number of scientific research achievements, and the institutions to which the authors belong are concentrated and the geographical distribution of authors is wide, but there is a significant imbalance in the distribution of authors across regions; in addition, the scale of research cooperation in this field is small , The number of co-authors is mainly concentrated in small-scale cooperation between 2-3 people. 5. The number of citations is low, and there is obvious instability in the use of literature information and literature intelligence; the citation types and languages ​​are relatively single; the maximum citation age is relatively lagging behind. Based on the above conclusions, the author puts forward the following suggestions: 1.
