Bernd Storck bitter: “The impression that part of the press wanted another coach in Genk”

Bernd Storck was unable to discuss his future this Friday at a press conference, but he nevertheless made it known what he thought of the attitude of the press towards him.

Bernd Storck and Racing Genk have had a somewhat disappointing season. Result: a priori, the German should leave Limburg. However, he should not go very far: according to our sources, he is close to committing to AS Eupen. However, Storck did not wish to speak on this subject this Friday. “I will disappoint you but neither the club nor I will discuss the future before Sunday,” he began at a press conference.

What to prepare for the last match of the season, against Mechelen, in all serenity? Not necessarily. Storck knows it, he did not meet expectations… but he still retains a certain resentment towards the press and analysts. “I think I have not always been treated correctly in recent months in the media. It was a bit as if some press wanted to see another coach on the Genk bench”, regrets Bernd Storck. “But things are the way they are. It’s football and I have to accept that.”
