BBL: Justus Hollatz moves to the ACB in Spain – basketball

On Tuesday, Justus Hollatz (21) said goodbye to the Towers fans in the VIP room of the Hamburger Arena at the end of the season. Now it’s clear: The builder will not return…

After four years with the towers, the best junior player in the basketball Bundesliga is moving to the top European league ACB. Hollatz signed for one year (plus an option for another) with the Spanish middle-class club CB Breogan in Lugo (Galicia). This was announced by the head of his player advisory agency Beo Basket, Misko Raznatovic (55/Serbia), on Twitter on Saturday.

The Croatian coach Veljko Mrsic (51) has had good experiences with players from the BBL there. In the current season Rasid Mahalbasic (31/before Oldenburg), Trae Bell-Haynes (26/Crailsheim) and ex-NBA star Dzanan Musa (23) went hunting for baskets; all three are also with Hollatz’ agency Beo Basket.

The coveted young international had several offers, including from Partizan Belgrade, but ultimately settled on ACB.

But Hollatz is only the beginning!

After the departure of coach Pedro Calles (38) to Oldenburg, the sell-out began in Hamburg. Supporters Maik Kotsar (25) and Caleb Homesley (25) will also leave the club. After his return to the USA, Jaylon Brown (27) searched Instagram for an address where he could have his jersey framed. That also sounds like farewell…
