The winner of the main round clearly prevailed against Brose Bamberg in the first quarter-final game on Friday evening with 114:89 (61:45) and takes a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
Johannes Thiemann was the best thrower in Berlin with 19 points. The second meeting will take place again in Berlin on Sunday (6 p.m./Sport1 and MagentaSport). “I’m happy about the win,” said Thiemann after the game at MagentaSport: “It was an offensive game. We can play it even smarter defensively.”
