Badminton. Crossminton: its French champion is from Finistère [VIDÉO] – Badminton

The first world championships in the discipline date back to 2011 and were won by a German and a Swede, while since December 2008 there has been a speed badminton sports federation in France.

Practiced in singles, doubles but also in a night version – Blackminton – this racket sport – whose shuttlecock is called Speeder – combines the requirements of badminton, tennis and squash.

Speed ​​badminton can be played both indoors and outdoors thanks to its speeder, whose weight varies from 7 to 9 grams and can reach speeds between 260 and 290 km/h.

A match takes place in two winning sets, each set being played in 16 points, with two points difference, on a field composed of two squares of 5.5 m side and 12.8 meters apart.
