A German club have put Vincent Kompany on their list for this summer

Will Vincent Kompany still coach Les Mauves next year? After finishing fourth last year, the Brussels coach has done better by placing his team on the third step of the podium in 2022. A result that has impressed other foreign teams.

Including VFL Wolfsburg in particular. According to the Nieuwsblad, the Anderlecht coach would be on a list of several names to become the coach of the VW club next year. Twelfth this year, the German club said goodbye to Florian Kohfeldt this week. The latter had replaced Marc Van Bommel at short notice after very disappointing results. The former butcher of Bayern Munich is also on the shelves of several clubs in Belgium.

In this list, other names are also mentioned such as Matthias Jaissle (34) from Red Bull Salzburg or his former coach Bruno Labbadia. Our colleagues add that this information has been confirmed by sources close to the club. One of Vince The Prince’s strengths is that he is fluent in German. As a reminder, the defender had signed for Hamburg after having exploded in his favorite club.

This is not the first time that Kompany’s future has been discussed at the end of the season. Just before the Champions Play-offs, Burnley had already expressed interest according to the English press. But the coach had swept away the rumors with the back of his hand. “All that interests me today is Anderlecht”he began. “At this time of year there are a lot of rumors going around and a lot of coaches being quoted all over the place. I know how it’s going, I hear everything… even April Fool’s Day jokes (sic).”

Which confirms that Kompany is still very far from a start. He is always very involved in the project where he is the central person. In addition, VFL Wolfsburg did not take any information from the leaders or the entourage of Kompany. On the other hand, the former devil would see several well-known faces in Germany. Starting with the Devils Sebastiaan Bornauw, Aster Vranckx, Dodi Lukebakio and Koen Casteels. But also Lukas Nmecha who completely relaunched his career with the Mauves last year.
