The Finistère and Brittany senior judo championships took place on Saturday and Sunday, in Saint-Renan. It was a good weekend for the licensees of the Judo-club of Guipavas and the sports alliance of Kumo.
On the first day, it was Camille Laurent and Coraline Vautrain who distinguished themselves by climbing respectively to the third and second step of the regional first division podium. “These are satisfactory rankings for these two competitors: Camille resumes judo after a four-year hiatus and Coraline returns from an operation,” comments David Bizouarn, their teacher at the club. Thus, they qualify for the second division French championship in June.
Sephora Billaud’s double
On Sunday, for the Finistère second division championship, many good results are to be noted: Salomé Le Borgne, second, with Valentin Pape, third, and Maëlys Praud, also third. These good rankings come on top of Sephora Billaud’s title of Finistère champion: “Sephora has done the double! In February, she had already obtained first place in the first departmental division. She will participate in the national cup at the end of the month, ”adds the professor.
