These 1,387 “Children’s Homes” actively mobilize volunteers, teachers, social organizations and other forces to carry out care services, highlight the “one position with multiple functions” model, and simultaneously build libraries, warm classrooms, and extracurricular activity rooms.

The “Children’s Home” in Hufang Village, Chaling County, with an indoor and outdoor area of ​​about 1,500 square meters, has an independent study room, a dance room, a psychological consultation room, a hard-pen calligraphy room, etc., equipped with books, stationery, tables and chairs, basketball, Badminton, table tennis and other learning and entertainment supplies, and also provide education management, psychological counseling and other services for left-behind children.

The “Children’s Home” in Yeyachong Community in Hetang District has a library, activity room, multi-functional hall, and rehearsal room. Children do their homework here and there are volunteers for guidance. Extracurricular training is also arranged on weekends. It has added a guarantee for the learning and safety of children of migrant workers, left-behind children and children in distress.

In addition to realizing the full coverage of “children’s homes” in villages (communities) in the city, Zhuzhou also stipulates the basic living expenses of scattered orphans and institutional orphans, which are not less than 950 yuan and 1,350 yuan per person per month respectively; the number of minor urban and rural residents participating in insurance premiums A total of 1.0656 million people; 42,000 students from families with financial difficulties were sponsored, with an amount of 27.23 million yuan.
