The national team won the final of the World Team Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, with a match score of 3-2.

The national team, which was led 1–2 by Gong Hee-yong and Kim Hye-young in the 4th doubles, and Kim Hye-young won and returned to the starting point, and the 5th singles runner Shim Yu-jin defeated Wang Ziyi, ranked 15th in the world, 2-1 to solve the final puzzle.

Lee Kyung-won, the current coach of the national team, Seong Ji-hyeon, who played a key role in winning the 2010 Malaysian Games, was thrilled to rise to the top both as a player and as a coach.
