With more than 1,200 athletes, the Basic Education School Sports Games begin in Region VI. – Dependencies Bulletins

  • Girls, boys and adolescents from Cuerámaro, Huanímaro, Manuel Doblado, Pénjamo, Pueblo Nuevo, Valle de Santiago and Abasolo participate in its regional stage.

Abasolo, Gto. April 05, 2022. – With the presence of Constanza González García, state runner-up in the 75-meter dash, and Jeymi Everly Martínez Martínez, athlete, who has the second best national record in the high-length test, the School Sports Games for Education were inaugurated. Basic, in its regional stage, with the participation of 1,290 students and 115 Physical Education teachers from Cuerámaro, Huanímaro, Manuel Doblado, Pénjamo, Pueblo Nuevo, Valle de Santiago and Abasolo.

Anselmo Conejo Cornejo, delegate of Region VI, on behalf of the Secretary of Education of Guanajuato (SEG), said “enjoy the games, they are full of teaching, do not stop dreaming, if you train hard and this will allow you to reach your goal. Do not stop studying, sport is a complement for your full personal development”.

Constanza González García, was in charge of making the sports oath and Jeymi Everly Martínez Martínez, was the commissioner of lighting the symbolic fire of the sports games.

Mayor Rocio Cervantes Barba was in charge of inaugurating the sports activities of the Basic Education School Sports Games, with the official serve of volleyball, soccer, basketball, handball and chess for girls and boys at the primary level.

On this day, 520 elementary school students participated in their different branches in the disciplines of soccer, basketball, volleyball, handball and chess, who were assisted by 45 Physical Education teachers.

For tomorrow, Wednesday, April 6, there will be a participation of 350 high school students in the male and female branches in soccer, basketball, volleyball, handball and chess activities, with the collaboration of 30 Physical Education teachers.

On Thursday, April 7, 420 primary and secondary school children and adolescents are expected to participate in track and field athletic activities, with the support of 40 Physical Education teachers. The sporting event will be selective towards the state games.
