Victory with the decimated team of the Budo-Sport-Club Arashi Yama Wil

The elite team of BSC Arashi Yama Wil traveled to Ticino last weekend, but not to relax, but to play two matches in the 1st league championship.

Ultimately, the Wiler team fought for a narrow victory against O-Nami Horgen and a defeat against Team Ticino.

Unfortunately, the Wiler team could only occupy three weight classes, as all fighters -66kg and -73kg were either sick or injured. Thus, for a team win, all three remaining fighters had to win their encounters. Ultimately, the Wiler team fought for a narrow victory against O-Nami Horgen and a defeat against Team Ticino. However, the relatively clear result of 2:8 against Ticino hides the fact that both lost fights were extremely balanced until shortly before the end. Working for Wil were (left to right): Fabrice Junker, Eric Wenger, Dominic Menzi, Chris Goebel, Mario Kaderli.

The student team from BSC Arashi Yama Wil was also in action at the Eastern Switzerland team championship and suffered two defeats: 6:10 against JT Oberuzwil/Weinfelden and 4:12 against JC Uster. Despite these defeats, there is still the possibility of qualifying for the final tournament at the end of June with a strong second half of the season. The points for Wil won: Nael Baumgartner, Marius Niedermann, Runa Schönenberger, Namin Lee and Mathis Ruesch. Also in action for Wil: Tyler Hug, Mathewos Tesfagabr, Sina Gantenbein, Moriz and Samuel Kramer, Finnian Beer, Sean Knellwolf and Tenzin Namgyal.
