The case of the audios and messages between the president of the Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, and the Barcelona player Gerard Piqué has reached the Government in one more variant of those that are supposed to still remain in this tsunami. The government spokeswoman, Isabel Rodríguez, made the Federation’s behavior ugly by transferring the Super Cup to Saudi Arabia. “It is a worrying matter, it is reprehensible from a moral and ethical point of view and I hope they rethink it.” The legal professionals consulted by ABC, all of whom are aware of the sporting or footballing singularity, express their legal doubts about the procedures that Rubiales and Piqué have used to manage a competition, a business and a sporting result.
First of all, the Government indicates in the words of Isabel Rodríguez that “unfortunately the Federation does not receive public money and therefore the State has not been able to carry out an audit.”
