The CEIP Antonio Machado is full of rackets

yesterday was the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace and the Bilingual CEIP Antonio Machado from Talavera has joined in celebrating this special day to reinforce the values ​​and multiculturalism, referents of the teaching-learning processes of the Talavera center.

The initiative of the center has been to opt for sports of racket and therefore members of Tennis and Badminton Club City of Ceramics have stopped by the school to give a master class on both racket sports.

Throughout yesterday morning, more than 150 students between the ages of 7 and 12 have received the monitor indications, learning to control his body. Between beating and beating they have worked preferentially on eye-hand coordination, the basis for neurological development that children project throughout their lives.

The alma mater of the City of Ceramics Club and a great promoter of Talavera culture, Well Tapetado, has turned to this day with young people. To the physical and physiological benefits inherent in the activity, the psychological and affective-social benefits of an integrating practice are added. Sport, as a cultural activity, is an ideal process for social interaction, learning about different realities, accepting and valuing them, enhancing the character of education as a social catalyst with its use within the school.

CEIP Antonio Machado is within the Network of Healthy Teaching Centers of Castilla-La Mancha. The school has a clear commitment to encourage sport and its positive effects on students, and in this case, tennis and badminton are integrated into the innovative MED methodology – Sports Education Model.
