Stéphan proud of Strasbourg’s “strength of character”

Julien Stéphan (Strasbourg coach, held in check by Paris SG 3-3): “We went through a lot of feelings in this match. We made a great start, we were a few centimeters away from making the break. Unfortunately, we make a small mistake that leads to their equalization. But overall I was happy with our first half. We had a very difficult start to the second half. We gave way too many balls to the opponent, in an unusual way for us. Faced with this talent, there is a sanction afterwards. But what energy! What strength of character! Which group ! The entrants were decisive. It’s a nice snub to those who said that we lost too many points in the last minutes. We could even have put the fourth one. It’s nice. We do this job for this kind of emotion. We will remember it for a long time. This is a point won after a hard fight. It is a great pride to accompany this group. This point allows us to keep hold of sixth place, on Lens. We have the cards in hand. We are going to prepare for Brest on Saturday (May 7) which is going to be a difficult match. Playing Brest right now is anything but a cakewalk. It’s a team that will play the game to the end, just like their coach. We still have big fights ahead of us this season. You can count on us to give it your all until the end.»
