RB Leipzig: Declaration of love from Sweden star Emil Forsberg – Bundesliga

Fourth game in ten days. Coach Domenico Tedesco will rotate again properly against Union on Saturday (3.30 p.m.). But he can’t get past one thing: Cup winning goal scorer Emil Forsberg (30).

“Sure, I always want to play,” says the Swede. “I know exactly how good I am and I know my qualities. But the coach decides,” he says

One thing is certain: the fans in Leipzig love the Swede. And they should enjoy it for a long time to come.

Forsberg (contract until 2025): “I don’t see myself anywhere else, I have big goals with the club, I still want to experience a lot with the people here. The chance for a title is here now. I play in one of the biggest clubs in Europe, we are a top team in the Bundesliga. I was there for almost the whole trip, so I have to stay there now.”

According to Forsberg, he wants to play for another four years and can even imagine Leipzig as the center of his life after that. “This is our second home. We feel very comfortable.”

And he also sees himself as the father of the company: “We are a lot of guys who have been here for a long time. It makes me extra proud to still be there. We step on the gas, we push the younger players.”

In terms of sport, it couldn’t be better. RB is unbeaten in 15 games. “Now we also want to step up our game against Union in order to continue towards Champions League qualification.”

With Emil in the starting eleven…

Second Union duel almost sold out again

Within four days it’s against Union for the second time – this time in the league.

Personnel: Lukas Klostermann (last Corona contact person) sits on the bench at most, Amadou Haidara (inner band) is out.

Coach Domenico Tedesco (36): “Of course it’s a bit strange to play the same opponent twice in three days. But this is another important game. There is still a lot at stake for both teams in the league. We felt on Wednesday what an unpleasant opponent Union is.”

Also interesting: the Red Bull Arena will be full again on Saturday. Almost all of the 46110 tickets (reduced due to security areas) are gone, about 2500 fans from Berlin are coming with them.

And: The Bulls’ first fan flyer for the Europa League semi-final second leg in Glasgow (May 5) is full – 200 fans have booked the trip offered by the club. RB is working on another plane. Tickets go on sale on Monday.
