Cody Gakpo can count on interest from several major clubs, but PSV is pulling out all the stops to keep the ‘Eintonaar’ longer. According to the Eindhovens Dagblad and De Telegraaf, Gakpo is willing to think about a longer stay at PSV.
Gakpo is currently stuck at PSV until mid-2026. According to the ED, an extension until 2027 is not inconceivable, while the attacker made his scribble under a new contract a few months ago. Reportedly, Gakpo is willing to consider a PSV offer.
With a view to the World Cup in Qatar, a longer stay at PSV could also be interesting for Gakpo. The left winger is then – provided he is fit – as good as assured of playing time towards the final tournament. Technical director John de Jong also continues to discuss this topic with Gakpo.
Gakpo himself has not yet made any decisions about his future. If the interested clubs also come up with concrete offers, more will undoubtedly become clear.
