BUERSTADT – Burstadt (red). After almost two years of a Corona-related break, the fighters of the 1st Judo Club Bürstadt are back on the mat. On Saturday (9.00 a.m./6.00 p.m.) there is a preparatory fight against the judo club Kim Chi Wiesbaden in the sports hall of the Erich Kästner School.

For trainer Nadine Müller and team manager Lothar Kilian it is a location determination before the start of the second Bundesliga. It is also about determining whether fourth place can also be achieved this year.

It is also important to overcome the difficult training situation caused by the pandemic. Team-building activities during the training sessions were therefore in the foreground. Of course, all of this is also a problem for most other sports clubs. As of today, three clubs from the second Bundesliga have already withdrawn. The 1. JCB has to cope with a few departures to the 1. Bundesliga and it remains to be seen whether this could be compensated for. In addition, some top performers are currently injured and are therefore not available in the fight against KC Wiesbaden. Those responsible hope that they will be fit again for the start of the Bundesliga on May 14 against Isarfighter Lengries. With the addition of Christoph Braun from Worms, the 1st JCB continues to emphasize its regional presence. The goal for 2022 is: exciting, close fights; stay injury-free, spread fun and good spirits and of course keep the league. In the long term, it is important to integrate the good Rimbacher and Bürstädter youth into the league squad.
