Paris Saint-Germain wants to get rid of Draxler! Bundesliga clubs show interest – football

Paris wants to shed ballast!

According to information from “L’Equipe”, Qatar club PSG wants to thin out its squad. At the top of the list: National player Julian Draxler (28).

3 BUNDESLIGA CLUBS SHOW INTEREST…

Privately, Julian Draxler currently has every reason to be happy. In mid-April, the ex-Schalke announced his father’s happiness. Girlfriend Stehanie Taing holds up an ultrasound image of their baby on an Instagram post. So while things are going great at home, Draxler isn’t so lucky on the pitch…

As France-Medium “L’Equipe” reports, the German has to reorient himself professionally. Background: PSG is currently preparing for the new season and wants to make room for new stars. Expulsion candidates? Including the former Bundesliga star (Schalke and Wolfsburg).

Draxler still has a contract until 2024. However, the midfielder could not prevail under coach Mauricio Pochettino (50). Overall, he made 24 competitive games in the current season, but rarely got beyond the joker role. The Gladbeck native was repeatedly thrown back by injuries.

Now the Paris chapter for Draxler (20 million market value) could actually end. In 2017 he moved from Wolfsburg to the Seine for a fee of 36 million euros, and since then he has played 198 games for PSG (26 goals, 41 assists) – he has not played more often for any club.

But a possible change even seems to meet with mutual interest. As “L’Equipe” recently reported, Draxler wanted to leave the club to gain match practice. Background: the Winter World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year. Draxler wants to convince national coach Hansi Flick (57) of his qualities. Hertha, Dortmund and Leverkusen are said to be interested, as is Sevilla.

Also on the cross-off list: Thilo Kehrer (25). The central defender moved to Paris in 2018 for 37 million (125 games, four goals, two assists), still has a contract until 2023. German and English clubs should be interested, writes “L’Equipe”. Price tag: 20 to 30 million euros. Other candidates to leave are Leandro Paredes (27) and Layvin Kurzawa (29).

So Paris wants to create capacity for large transfers again. Background: the club bosses are longing for the long-awaited goal of the “Champions League title”. Julian Draxler will probably not live to see it again…
