“Mommy they set me on fire”: a boy burned his neighbor’s face with a flaming tennis ball

A 6 year old boy He suffered severe burns to his face and leg after his 8-year-old neighbor threw a flaming tennis ball at him. The tragic event occurred in the state of Connecticut, in the United States, and the boy is hospitalized.

Last Sunday, Dominick Krankall was playing in the backyard of his home in the city of Bridgeport, United States, when he was harassed by another child.

Kayla continued the chilling account, saying that her brother “within seconds was back around the corner screaming, saying: ‘Mommy, they set me on fire! They set me on fire!’”

The sister of the attacked boy denounced that the violent episode was done on purpose and that the neighbor had previously harassed Dominick.

“Two months ago, under the supervision of the stalker’s mother, he was pushed against a wall and fell to the ground. And again, the mother refuses to admit that her son did it ”he stated.

“Dom has second and third degree burns to his face and leg. He is going to be scarred for life mentally and physically.”he lamented.

In addition, the young woman delved into the lack of responsibility of the aggressor’s relatives. “The family thinks it’s a joke. Even though Dominick can’t speak because he’s in so much pain and it’s all swollen, he told my mom: ‘Please don’t take me there’” Kayla detailed.

Meanwhile, the victim’s family seeks to raise funds to be able to pay the hospital bills and also to be able to move out of the neighborhood where they are currently, where the little boy never wants to return: “We are looking for help for a new home because it is not safe here”, her sister wrote in her GoFundMe post.

Dominick was rushed to the burn unit at Bridgeport Hospital, where he is recovering. Authorities are investigating what happened but no charges have been filed at this time.

The family started a GoFundMe to help the boy’s recovery. received $270,000 in donations until Wednesday night.
