A pot for PSV!
Mario Götze and coach Roger Schmidt, who is leaving at the end of the season, won the Dutch Cup with Eindhoven! In the final, the team beat Ajax Amsterdam 2-1.
For PSV it was the first cup win since 2012, the tenth in the club’s history. Ajax, on the other hand, lost their third win in a row and the chance of the double.
Ryan Gravenberch, who was about to move to Bayern Munich, had given Ajax the lead (23′), Eindhoven struck back after the break through Erick Gutierrez (48′) and Cody Gakpo (50′). Götze played from the start, as did left-back Philipp Max.
