Ligue 1: he tries to sell his place against PSG at a golden price, a subscriber from Clermont gets caught

These days, there is no small (or big) profit… A subscriber to the Clermont Foot club had the lucrative idea of reselling his place for 300 euros for the reception of PSG on Saturday April 9 at 9 p.m. . Almost the price of an annual pass! He therefore did not hesitate, aware that some would be ready to buy at a golden price the opportunity to see Kylian Mbappé and others tread the lawn of the Gabriel Montpied stadium against the 17th in the elite, who did not have plenty of opportunities to celebrate this season.

Except that the Auvergne club, which got wind of the resale, did not appreciate the behavior of this “interested” supporter. He thus decided to deactivate the subscription for Saturday’s match “to sanction the violation of the general conditions of sale to which subscribers subscribe as well as ticket buyers for a match”. The subscriber, who has recognized the facts, will therefore not even be able to go himself to take advantage of his ticket…

“During the season, the club observed the increase in the circulation of counterfeit tickets bought by gullible people with beyond the scam, the interception at the entrance to the stadium and the refoulement on match day, write leaders in a statement. In the same way, the sale on various platforms of tickets at astronomical prices but put on the market by people, either subscribers, or having access to a sale set up by the club for certain categories of people, etc. ., is completely unacceptable. »

The club, which boasts of a 94.6% occupancy rate (one of five in L 1 above 90%) deplores this greed at a time when real fans are struggling to get tickets.

“Clermont Foot 63 wanted low ticket prices in order to thank its public at the time of the rise in Ligue 1 and has, moreover, set up a system of legal resale for subscribers who cannot travel for this or that game, he recalls. The club cannot therefore tolerate this type of behavior and will continue the fight against the black market, counterfeit tickets and abusive resales. »
