Julian Draxler (28) wasn’t very lucky on the pitch, but privately things are going well for the world champion!
Draxler is going to be a dad! “We are happy to announce that we are expecting our first baby,” announced the PSG kicker and his girlfriend Sethanie Taing on Instagram. In addition, they show an ultrasound photo of the offspring with a broad grin.
The joy of the kicker colleagues? Huge! “Finally,” comments ex-national player Lukas Podolski (36). “Mashallah (“As God wanted it”, editor’s note), cousin,” writes Chelsea defender Antonio Rüdiger (29).
It is still unclear whether the child will be born in Paris, because: Draxler (contract until 2024) had recently considered leaving Saint-Germain in the summer. Because of the World Cup in Qatar, as reported by “L’Equipe”.

In the Paris star ensemble around Neymar, Messi and Mbappé, Draxler (58 internationals) is almost only a substitute. He made 18 appearances in the league, but only started five times. The last time was in mid-February.
Most recently, the world champion (Brazil 2014) was completely missing from the squad several times. Draxler will also be absent from the forthcoming tenth win of the French championship due to rehabilitation. The offensive player had to have an operation on the lateral meniscus in his right knee.
So it will be difficult to recommend for national coach Hansi Flick (57) and the national team.
Draxler himself recently said: “My situation at the club is not easy. I know that I need rhythm, more match practice.”
