The NBA’s leading scorer in the regular season has to deal with a fracture to the bony structure of the socket of his right eye and a concussion. He suffered the injuries in the final moments of Game 6 against the Canadian squad. That’s what the 76ers announced Friday night, a day after knocking the Raptors out of the playoffs.

Embiid appeared to sustain those injuries as he received an accidental elbow from Pascal Siakam.

In addition, the 28-year-old athlete was already suffering from a thumb injury that will require surgery when his season is over.

The 76ers will face the Miami Heat in the second round of the NBA playoffs. The first duel between these two teams is to be held Monday evening at the FTX Arena. Embiid will miss this game as a minimum, as he must follow a minimum five-day absence protocol due to his concussion.
