GLOSS: The Liberec boss didn’t understand. Slovan is waiting for a hard break

He then started a discussion with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Liberec, Zbyněk Štiller, and another member, Josef Bureš, right in the stands. They could not be satisfied with the last match of Liberec in the year.

Slovan did not catch the start of the season, when he waited until the eighth round for the first win. The change of coach helped when Pavel Hoftych was replaced by Luboš Kozel and the goal was to be in tenth place. And above all, the reaction of the Slavic leadership benefited, when at the last moment before the transfer was closed, the staff was significantly strengthened. Nevertheless, Liberec did not make up for the loss. Although he played for the title in the group until the last round of the basic part, this year was not successful for Slovan.

And above the other, a sea of question marks hovers. It is already probable that the team will change a lot for the next season. After all, the contract expires in two months for a number of players, uncertainty prevails around Gebr Selassie, Rabušice, Knobloch, Matoušek or Stoch. The guest appearances with Tupt, Júsuf Hilál, Matoušek, Szczecin and Plechatý. The heads of Liberec are facing a number of decisions and negotiations. Probably the gentlemen already mentioned in the rostrum were deciding what to do next so that such a season would not be repeated. They now have enough time to prepare the staff for the first round, not the eighth as last year.

Coincidentally, Liberec football will commemorate its famous anniversary in less than two weeks. On May 10, exactly twenty years will pass since the memorable match against the Bohemians, which Slovan lost 1: 2, but was still the first team outside Prague to celebrate the championship in an independent Czech league. Now, however, this jubilee contrasts a lot with the present and rather highlights the current misery.
