Foot PSG – Frenkie De Jong, PSG is preparing its huge revenge

Unhappy with coach Xavi’s choices, Frenkie de Jong could leave FC Barcelona this summer. His transfer would be good for the finances of the Catalan club which will be able to raise the stakes. Indeed, the environment interests several formations including Paris Saint-Germain who had been robbed of the Dutchman in 2019.

During the home defeat against Rayo Vallecano (1-0) last Sunday, a scene caught the attention of the media. It concerns Frenkie de Jong who did not appreciate being replaced. The midfielder of FC Barcelona, perhaps frustrated by the result or by his performance, went directly to the locker room. It was enough to revive the rumors about his future. Indeed, Italian source Calciomercato understand that Frenkie de Jong doesn’t like the way coach Xavi is handling him.

Bayern and MU on the spot

And the Dutchman is also said to be annoyed by rumors that Barca may sacrifice him for financial reasons this summer. As a result, the former Ajax Amsterdam player would not close the door to a departure for one of his suitors. There is talk of interest from Bayern Munich, Manchester United with their next Dutch manager Erik ten Hag, and Paris Saint-Germain. An approach from the French champion would come as no surprise as the capital club had already been interested in Frenkie de Jong in the past.

We remember that in January 2019, the young talent was about to sign with the Parisians, before Barça snatched his signature at the last moment. The Ile-de-France management has surely not forgotten this episode and would not be against a nice revenge, one more. It remains to be seen whether Barça and its 24-year-old midfielder are really thinking of a separation. For his part, Xavi has publicly announced that he wants to keep his player under contract until 2026.
