FC Bayern Munich: It’s about Thomas Müller: Great news for Bayern fans! – Bundesliga

Ur-Bayer Thomas Müller (32) remains a Munich!

On April 1, the first round of talks between Müller advisor Ludwig Kögl (56), Bayern boss Oliver Kahn (52) and sports director Hasan Salihamidžić (45) took place on Säbener Straße. It was the start of the first round of negotiations. Only two and a half weeks later you are already on the home straight: Müller will extend in Munich!

Müller reveals after the 3-0 in Bielefeld: “In fact, there is nothing to announce. We are in good discussions, in good exchange. Both sides want. I believe that at the end of the day a solution will be found. But how, when, where – you will find out then…”

But it doesn’t seem to last too long. Kahn also confirmed this on Sunday in the “SPORT1” double pass: “I am very, very confident that we can say something at relatively short notice.”

According to BILD information, Bayern will extend the contract, which expires in 2023, by another two years. With an annual salary of up to 20 million euros, the attacker is currently one of the top earners in the club. Müller (at the club since 2000) is Bayern’s longest-serving player and is now in his 14th year in the Bundesliga – a record. And now there are at least three more years to come.

With Sturm partner Robert Lewandowski (33), on the other hand, the contract poker threatens to become a stalemate again.

Müller: “I have no insight into the club’s website or Lewy’s. I love playing with him on the court. If you have a player who scores 30 to 40 goals a year, is a good guy and also works for the team – you have to find him first.”
