Setback for Hertha BSC in the fight for its own football arena on the grounds of the Olympic Park.
The Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office is against building a new stadium in the Olympic Park, as reported by RBB.

According to the district councilor for sports, Heike Schmitt-Schmelz (SPD), a new building on the Maifeld and on Rominterallee was rejected at a district assembly.
Reasons are, among other things, reservations about noise pollution, the traffic to be feared and the protection of monuments.
