Bourigeaud still brilliant, Reims too imprecise

Bourigeaud sees double and carries Rennes, Terrier still scores but also Berisha symbol of Remois inaccuracy … Find the Tops and Flops of the Rennes victory in Reims (3-2).

TOPS

Bourigeaud the detonator
Benjamin Bourigeaud is definitely the centerpiece of the Burno Genesio system. In a high quality collective, the former Lensois stands out for his great game intelligence. While the Bretons could not find him during the first half hour on his right wing, Bourigeaud began to dezone and to pick up the balloons below. He put some rhythm into his team’s game and started the revolt with a header from a cross from Laborde (39th). In the process he allows Rennes to make the break after a superb exchange with Traoré with a shot from the right blocked by Faes who deceives Rajkovic (43rd). The Rennes playmaker released an XXL performance.

Terrier continues to score
The former Lyonnais gives the impression of progressing game after game. If his attacking partner, Gaëtan Laborde has been a little more behind in accounting terms for a few games, Martin Terrier continues to score. This Saturday afternoon, he allows Rennes to lead 3-0 by getting rid of Foket in the duel then placing a shot between the legs of Faes which deceives Rajkovic (58th). The Rennes striker scored his 18th goal in Ligue 1 this season and was very active in participating in his team’s game.

Busi in all Reims shots
The right piston from Reims made a good copy this Saturday afternoon. He was in all the good moves of his team and did not stop rising to bring danger when his team was in a strong position. He even opened his Ligue 1 goal counter with a header in the 60th minute, in the wake of Terrier’s goal to maintain hope. Then he allows Reims to believe in it until the end by obtaining a second penalty on a center blocked with the hand by Truffert and transformed by Canjuste.

FLOPS

Truffled in delicacy
It’s not often that the left-back misses his games but it was the case today. In difficulty against Busi in his lane, he struggled to bring danger to him who is normally a very good counter-attacker. Defensively, he was put in difficulty several times during Busi’s climbs and conceded the penalty which brought Reims to 3-2 and completely restarted the match. A delicate match for the Rennes left side but we will not hold it against him.

Berisha too imprecise
The Reims striker was not good on Saturday and missed several chances that could have allowed his team to take the lead as Reims dominated the start of the match. He is too clumsy on his two occasions at the very start of the game. In the 3rd minute his full axis shot flies away despite a good dribble to eliminate his opponent and put himself in a good position. Then he misses a great opportunity in the area by choosing the wrong area in the 15th minute. He came out in the 55th minute and was whistled by part of the public at the Auguste-Delaune stadium.

Reims missed opportunities
The Rémois can regret their missed opportunities this Saturday because they could have obtained another result than this 3-2 defeat. But the locals were too imprecise to open the scoring on their highlights in the first period, like Berisha (see above) but also Munetsi or Mbuku who both stumbled on an excellent Alemdar. In the second half, Doumbia even missed a first penalty awarded at Stade de Reims in the 77th minute. A game without for the Champagne attackers.
