Basketball: Göttingen basketball players get former NBA players

Basketball Bundesliga team BG Göttingen signed a replacement for their injured top scorer Kamar Baldwin on the last day of the change period.

Former NBA player Jeremiah Martin from the USA signed a contract with Lower Saxony, the club did not provide any information on the term. The 25-year-old guard made a total of 21 appearances for the Brooklyn Nets and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the North American professional league between 2019 and 2021 NBA. He then went abroad for the first time to the New Zealand Breakers in the New Zealand league.

“We had to act quickly after Kamar’s injury. Jeremiah fits our profile well. Like Kamar, he can play second and first and has scoring qualities,” said Roel Moors, coach from Göttingen. BG star Baldwin sustained a partial pectoral tear last weekend and will be sidelined for several weeks.
