In the first round of men’s doubles, the fourth-seeded Indonesian team Alfran/Arianto played against South Korean team Na Kwang Min/No Jin Sung, and finally won 21:16 and 21:12. No. 6 seeds Malaysia Wang Yaoxin/Zhang Yuyu defeated Indian duo Boca/Reddy 21:14, 21:12.

In the first round of mixed doubles, South Korea’s Kang Min-hyuk/Baek Ha-neul eliminated Canada’s Tay Alexander Lindeman/Wu Wanling 22:20, 23:21.
