Complaints touch on multiple areas of rebroadcasting, the biggest of which is arguably the connection. Some fans were unable to start streaming or experienced interruptions while watching the game.

According to iMore, in addition tosocial mediaIn addition to the complaints above, DownDetector is also said to have seen numerous reports during games between the Washington Nationals and the New York Mets.

Aside from connectivity issues, the complaint extends to the broadcast itself.

Apple’s decision to use clean and minimal graphics that fit the tech giant’s typical design language has been largely welcomed by fans, in part because of the absence of distracting on-screen ads. Yet graphics packs have also been a source of online mockery, as they sometimes seem so simple.

In addition, the commentary team has come under fire from social media critics, with many saying the announcers are terrible. Complaints included how the announcer talked about topics other than the baseball game itself and a seeming lack of enthusiasm for events on the field.

While these issues can be chalked up to the “first night nervousness” of the broadcast, it’s likely that Apple’s broadcast and technical teams will learn the lessons from the next livestream.

The next “Friday Baseball Night” is reported to be on April 15, with plans to involve the Tampa Bay Rays vs. the Chicago White Sox and the Cincinnati Reds vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers.
