Aidan Hutchinson, the player who promised his father to play for Michigan

Many children of former NFL or college football players make a promise to their parents to play for the same colleges or teams as them, but not all of them make it. Aidan Hutchinson is one of the few who fulfilled it.

At the moment, Aidan Hutchinson is the number 1 prospect in the NFL Draft. He plays defensive end and quarterbacks on the gridiron have to be very careful when facing him because he is truly a QB hunter.

At a very young age and a couple of years before he fully started playing football, Aidan Hutchinson, told his father he would play for the University of Michiganwhere his dad had set a quarterback record for sacks.

Motivation to play in Michigan

How would you fulfill your dream? Well, Aidan Hutchinson not only visualized it in his mind, because daily his life revolved around that promise he had made to his fatherbecause he totally transformed his room into a temple to his dream.

The decorations changed in the room of an 11-year-old boy. Items his father wore when he played at Michigan were in his bedroom, including a used Rose Bowl jersey, championship rings, game tickets, and a sheet of notebook on his mirror that read: “I will play football at the University of Michigan”.

Seven years later, he would keep his promise to his father and get a chance to play with the Wolverines de Michigan.

Dancing, one of Aidan Hutchinson’s passions

With two older sisters in dance classes, Aidan Hutchinson had to be with them, but not participate. At first, just seeing and surprised by the genre of Hip-Hop.

His mother would convince him to try the dance classes, of course, it would not be easy to convince him and she had to buy him a Bakugan toy to get him to accept. His Michigan Wolverines career and breaking his father’s record

Aidan Hutchinson had firm goals and had already achieved the biggest one, that of playing with Michigan, but on top of that he wanted to win a Heisman Trophyalthough some of his teammates did not believe it because he was defensive.

But one year after that statement and the teasing, Aidan Hutchinson was second in the voting for the Heismanshowing that if you want it, you can fulfill it.

Chris Hutchinson knew that with the potential his son had, it would be a matter of time before he broke the mark that he once had with the University of Michigan.

Aidan Hutchinson’s father had the mark of 11 QB sacks in a season with the Wolverines, but Aidan would be in charge of destroying that record and would achieve 14. In the end, it all stayed in the family.
