3rd league: Rudi Bommer makes the promotion check – football

It will be more exciting than ever in the 3rd division! The Munich lions still have six games to move up to the second division.

In addition to leaders 1. FC Magdeburg and second-placed 1. FC Kaiserslautern, five teams are still fighting for the chance.

Third division expert and ex-1860 coach Rudi Bommer (64) makes the big promotion check in BILD!

For him it is clear: “It’s only about third place – Magdeburg and Kaiserslautern will win the race, they won’t collapse anymore.”

But the TSV 1860 should continue to have high hopes for the relegation place.

The Bommer prognosis.

EINTRACHT BRAUNSCHWEIG: “They only have to stumble twice, and then the great shaking begins. They have a break on matchday 35 (would have played against Türkgücü, ed.) and that can throw you off the pace of the game. For me, Braunschweig is not as consistent as the two top teams.”

1. FC SAARBRUCKEN: “They have a lot of power, but they are currently missing their best striker in Adriano Grimaldi. In addition, the six points that were deducted from them by the Türkgücü-Aus caused a lot in the heads. That brings unrest. In addition, they have two very difficult derbies in Kaiserslautern and Mannheim.”

WALDHOF MANNHEIM: “Your style of play and consistency are not enough for promotion. The squad is not wide enough. In the first half of the season they were convincing, in the second half they let too much go.”

VfL OSNABRUCK: “They always have good games, but they miss too many opportunities. Your remaining program with 1860, Mannheim and Magdeburg will be very difficult. I don’t think that will be enough in the end.”

1860 MUNICH: “It won’t be easy, but I believe in the lions. If the Grünwalder stadium fills up for all three remaining home games, then that will unleash incredible forces, they will get intoxicated. Even if it’s a phrase, but for 1860 it must apply: Always think from game to game. When they see the big picture, it starts to work in their minds. Stay cool is the motto. Coach Michael Köllner can do that very well. He’s motivated, fights to the end, gives his players confidence. He’s under a lot of pressure because that’s always the case in Munich, but he’s extremely relaxed about selling it to the outside world. The rest of the program is not easy, you have to be particularly careful with the children from the basement, Duisburg and Havelse.”

Conclusion Bommer: “Magdeburg and Lautern rise directly, the lions end up in the relegation.”
