Spurs legend Manu Ginobili will be inducted into the 2022 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame after the first round of voting. Ginobili played for the Spurs for 16 seasons, winning four championships in his career, making the All-NBA team twice, making the All-Star team twice and winning the Sixth Man of the Year in 2008.
For the national team, in the 2004 Athens Olympics, Ginobili led the Argentina team to defeat the American Dream Team and won the Olympic gold medal.
In addition, Tim Hardaway will also be inducted into the 2022 Naismith Hall of Fame. Tim Hardaway’s No. 10 jersey was retired by the Heat. He was a five-time All-Star and won the Sydney Olympic gold medal in the 2000-year-old U.S. men’s basketball team.
NBA coach George Karl, former NCAA West Virginia University coach Bob Huggins, and WNBA legend Sven Cash were also inducted into the 2022 Hall of Fame, and the official roster will be announced this Sunday.
